I'll see you on the other side...

My head hurt and I was short on sleep. Like always, this was not the ideal time for a hike, but I just had to do it. Korea's has been wearing on me lately and nothing clears my head like the satisfaction of doing something inherently good and productive like climbing. Also, I thought this would be the perfect scenery in which to debut the new Tool and Pearl Jam albums. As you can see, it was. You could find wisdom in a Britney Spear's tune at this height. I also have some videos I took that I could send to anyone who'd like. Just drop me an email at Retrodman@hotmail.com Stay young and keep prospering; "it's our time now." -Goonies

Yellow Dust

It's Monday afternoon and I'm feeling a little sick. I can pinpoint where exactly my health began to fail. I was in Seoul visiting Emily this weekend. We tried to do some sight-seeing Saturday, but it was too dangerous to go outside. Once a year, yellow dust comes in from a desert in China and covers Korea. The dust made it difficult to see anything. You couldn't help but taste it as you walked down the street. Koreans wear these little white masks to cover their mouths from the pollution. On Saturday, nearly everyone had their mask on and those who didn't were using their jackets to protect their mouths. It reminded me of Hunter S Thompson at the dirt-bike race in Fear and Loathing. The dust has been around for a couple weeks, and will remain but this weekend was particularly aweful. People were unable to leave their homes. On Sunday, the dust had cleared a bit and, when I looked at the black cars, I could see the layers of this dust covering them. It looked like they hadn't been washed in years. Nasty!
